I going to assume there will be a launch fee.  If so, how much and is it cash only?

8 more days!!! Cheesy

IIRC it was 20 dollars to launch.

Rounding up well! I know there are a few more gents on this site that we have yet to hear from. Hopefully they will decide to come out as well.

At the end of last summer, it was a 40.00 launch fee and they required a 4 wheel drive. Now that the water is back up not sure they require 4 wheel drive. And I'm not sure what they are charging to launch. Just thought I would throw it out there what they were charging last summer.

I will call tomorrow to find out for sure.  It has always been 20 for the fun runs, but this is the first time we have done it so late in the season

Blessed- you are right. It is 40 per boat. The price raise was put in effect to pay for the new ramp. There is no 4wd requirement at this time. If you decide to stay over night it will be a 10 fee to keep the trailer overnight. I tried to get us a large group, military,  southern charm discount... Didn't work. I guess I need to brush up.

As of now I am showing up a bit early to give Jeff (97fastech) a hand, so if anyone else needs a hand with something, I will be there. Is the gar going to be able to dock all of us?? Can't remember how many spots they had.

Just FYI, for $35 in/out you can launch and retrieve from Emerald Point Marina -- on the Hudson Bend peninsula near the dam.

I just talked to Emerald Point. The fee is 35. The ramp is not paved. And 0830 is the earliest to get there, but unless you are staying out all night, you need to be in by 1630. Not discouraging anyone, just the facts. Highland is paved and open till dark she said. So, the options are there guys.

I have pulled my boat in and out no problem at the level. I pulled out Van's 29 Fountain in 2wd easily.

Gar should be able to fit us all. I might need to call to let them know we are coming though.

One week left! Any luck with the Gar Evan?  And is there anyone else taking video whilst we are out? Maybe there is someone here on this forum that is bad ass with a movie maker program and can compile all the footage we will acquire whilst wasting copious amounts of fuel. Smiley

I was traveling for a wedding over the weekend, I'll give them a buzz today or tomorrow.

That would be great if anyone was talented like that.

Ok, about time to start ironing out some details. I am not sure what time is good for everyone. Evan, what time is good for a fun, fast run up to the Gar with ample parking up there. I will be up at Highland a little early so I can assist Jeff with some quick preventative maintenance on his Fastech. Just need a hard time for splash so I can plan.
