The company that is building my boat dock is the company that is installing the rafting lines and docks at the event. I have been prying some information from the owner of the company.

You're a good man for doing so!
What kind of boat are you bringing out to the event Hydro?

Let's keep any moaning and groaning to a minimum. I think it's important to remember that Sea Ray is spending wads of money to provide lake lovers a free, repeat free, two days worth of summer fun.
Not moaning and groaning here, just stating the obvious. Or what should be.

Forgot to mention that the area on water around the event will be designated as a temporary "No Wake" area from Thursday thru Saturday so boat wakes shouldn't be a problem.

I guess that depends on how hard you are going to party?

This is good news. Especially if they make it no wake all the way across.

So far my plan of partying all day and sleeping on the bow rider is still working
I figure it's the same as sleeping in a cuddy cabin, because I imagine that's a hot box in July and you would be sleeping outside anyway.

I have a dumb question but I have to ask. I heard they were selling premium spots out by dock lines. Is that true or is it just find a spot when you get out there?

Apparently, the only way to get a front row seat is to buy a new Sea Ray boat or be a VIP who has a Sea Ray. There will be PWC operators who will be escorting boaters into the rafting lines. Once you get on the line, you will not be allowed to come back to that spot. It sounds to me like the organizers are trying to make this somewhat like a tailgate party event. I think it would be a good idea for anyone who is planning on rafting up with their buddy to plan on staying out of the grid area until all the boats that are going to be together have arrived at the site, then enter the rafting area. I am also told that the rafting lines will open at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, instead of 12:00.
