One piece of luck on my engine build!

My boat came from FL and the previous owner definitely had a lot to learn about maintaining a boat. I've had to spend a lot of time fixing gremlins. But he apparently did one thing right. He did change the manifolds before I bought it. I assumed he purchased some stock ones. Turns out...they are some pretty nice GLM manifolds. Bob Lloyd discovered that today after we were talking about buying some risers to get more aggressive with the cam.
Now we're able to get quite a bit more aggressive. So that's very exciting. Hopefully the cams are getting ground this week. One more set of forged pistons and I'll have everything.
Making progress! I'll be boating this winter yet...maybe.

Great news. I bet you can't wait until this process is complete, and you're screaming up and down the lake. I'll be keeping my ears open.

You going to have Bob hook em up on the dyno afterwards? If you do, make sure you are there to get some video. I love a good dyno vid. Would love to see a dyno of Bob's Nordic monster block.

That jacket may just be necessary at the rate we are going!
Yes we will dyno them for sure. Want to make sure they are spot on. I'll try to get up there for that.

Untuned she's not really producing the target HP yet, pretty monster torque numbers though. I'll post numbers after it gets tuned since that's the useful number.

Third round of tuning, we're getting close! Second engine is ready to get on the dyno soon. Once the tune is done, the second engine is broke-in and the exhaust is built I just might have a boat again.
