you can have toys and kids you just have to figure out how to get them wothout spending any new money.  thats what I did with old timer.  traded an old pool table for a fishing boat ( i bought the pool table for 100 dollars 5 year before this)  then traded the fishing boat for old timer.  Grin Cool

I2D, I wanted to go older, but like I said, there is a contract out there that says I wont buy a car for a while.

Luckily for me, the Nordic was here before the baby Smiley I will be fighting for the Nordic's life. My parents had muscle cars and stuff growing up, so I think I can swing this lol. I know my Mom is on my side and will argue for it, her parents the same. 4 to 1, we win lol.

Very nice car. With two little kids the only "toys" I get to have with are HotWheels. Of course my kids own them Smiley

Well, we have a while before its even physically possible to have a baby. I wont be home till June, plus we are going to do the full round of checkups since the last pregnancy makes us a very high risk pregnancy this time around, so conception practice starts in July or so, and we all know how it works from there. I have one more season before the fight for the right to boat begins. lol.

Feel free to use the term whenever you want Smiley I like this forum, so you guys can all use it for free. I usually charge $4.95 per usage if coined terms (payable through paypal) but, I will make an exception for you all lol.

"conception practice" I like it. Eventually you may get "post conception practice" or "hell no conception practice"

Either way practice is practice.

I absolutely love the Nordic (even though the speed bug is nibbling at my ear), and am very thankful for my wife letting me have it. I am feeling the sports car itch again though. I miss my Z, but I want a 240Z SBC style, but the wife says no. I will get get there though.

that is the truest statement I have seen today!!  double the price of just about everything as whats on a car.  I had a buddy that was drag racing and said it takes 10,000 to go 1 second faster.  i told him thats nice it takes around 20,000 to do the same thing in a boat.

I am going to do my best to be contented with all the extra speed I just got. Bone stock reliability is a beautiful thing.

I am happy with the speed I have for the time being, but I know I will not be for long. I am going to try the normal stuff first (prop, spacer etc) and see what I gain there. I have a friend who builds performance engines for a living, and I am thinking of sourcing a 502 or larger block and slowly building it up. A little bump in compression, a nice set of heads, a larger cam and then all the 500EFI stuff moved over and I will have a fresh engine and reliability for the most part. From what I understand though, the 500EFIs and FI seem to get a long fairly well. We will see. Till then, I guess 70-75 will suffice.
