Outerlimits Factory Tour

So, today I packed up the wife, boy and my Uncle for a trip to the Outerlimits Factory. Funny, it is only 6 miles from where my family has lived for decades.
First thing you notice is the giant rig out front that is oh so sexy. Nothing screams awseomeess like a matching rig and trailer. When we got inside with the sleeping baby, we were greeted by a young man named Dan who works there. After expressing my "fanboy" status to him, he figured the best way to settle my heart rate and blood pressure was a full guided tour. Unfortunately, the is a sign when you walk in that specifically asks NO PICTURES, VIDEO, blah blah blah. What an impressive setup in there. It is by no means a flashy, gigantic state of the art building. What it is, is a completely functional setup that is truly a built-by-hand type place. Some of the molds for the larger boats are bigger than my house! All the fiberglass is done in house. All the paint is done in house, all the rigging, only half the upholstery (done by old man Carlos). Quite impressive for sure. I got to see the new Kilo record holder boat. Beautiful for sure. I also got to scope the LOTO shootout record holder V-hull with twin 1650s. They were swapping out the 1650s for 1350s for more manners when not racing lol. The only one I could take pics of is actually for sale on OSO right now. I really like it. The fit and finish of the boat is amazing! Now that my wife has seen one in person, I think she likes em too
She was almost entertaining the thought of a bigger boat
I only need to sell a kidney or a testicle. Anyway. Here are a couple pics.

The big girl for sale.
I know I am short, but seriously, I am standing up in this pic. DEEEEEEEEPPP cockpit.
Nice cabin with enclosed head, sink, AC<
With the twin 575s, this boat will run 90 according to Dan. I believe him. He said it weighs less than 10k in current trim. For a 37 foot boat, that is light.
All in all... Outerlimits rocks. They also gave me some free swag on the way out. Man I would love to get one someday.

It was great! Now I really want an OL. 37 feet, twin 575s and runs 90 with AC. And with the wife and I throwing the idea of moving back east around... may need a wave crusher
Today, we went out on a 50' crab fishing boat. 22' Beam! It was great too! lol. My cousins boo owns it and took us all for a ride from Sakonnet Point to South Shore Rhode Island. HAd fun with the family and new friends for sure. pics to follow.

Awesome boats! What a fantastic trip. The 37 is a bad ass boat and the size seems about right. Never seen one up close though.

Outstanding, Jay! Thanks for the pics. That is the perfect boat for you and your mechanical handiness. Some big space in that engine bay to work on those 575sci motors. I say go for it! I'm sure Fiore will give you a good trade on your Nordic.

I hear you on lusting after an Outerlimits. A few years back when Mrs. G was in school at Columbia in NYC, we took a trip up to CT visited Ocean Performance and I became obsessed with a 1997 37 Stiletto for a price that, while a stretch, was in reach. They would not take my Baja on resonable trade, so I had to let it go. Probably best in the long run because now I have a great Sunsation with reliable motors. That Stiletto had some custom built blocks that I'm sure would have cost me my soul eventually.

I will probably not buy anything without blue engines in it. Only time will tell where I land.
