Took a visit to Highland Lakes

Hey all,
Had the day off yesterday so I figured I'd roll over to Highland Lakes Marina to see how the ramp is looking. Was trying to decide whether I need to do EoH immediately or wait for my wallet to quit crying after paying for my engines.
Checking out the ramp it looks pretty good, a lot of pavement and the angle isn't too crazy. Would way rather have it be high enough I didn't need to worry about that rock wall but not that I haven't dealt with that before.

Not too shabby! That is certainly good news about the access. That rock wall always made me apprehensive, but with a bit of hyper-vigilance and a whole lot of self-confidence I kept the shiny stuff shiny and the rocks unblemished from fiberglass

By recent ramp standards around LT -- this ramp is pristine condition. No brainer. My ramp over here in Lakeway needs about another 5', and we'll be good to go for residents.

What is normal level of that ramp? Any type of reference in the pics to compare the normal level? Wow!! Rocks and a turn. Highland on north side?

Thanks for posting the pictures, been wondering if I would ever be able to get the boat out of lake travis anytime soon. Looks like it might be serviceable as long as lake levels hold and hopefully go higher in the spring.

Yeah getting in and out of there at this level is super easy. A few feet lower...different story. The rock wall is a little scary but your average boater shouldn't have trouble staying off the rocks. Especially if you angle your trailer at the bottom.

Wow, they did extend the ramp. It was 628.52 on Jan 4th.
Here's a pic from last season when it was at 629.04'..

Big improvement! I think it should work pretty well.
