Starboard engine cutting out at idle

Idling out of the marina yesterday, the engine cut out and would crank but wouldn't turn over. So I slowly cruised out to the cove on one engine.
Let it chill for about 20 minutes and she turned over. Runs like crazy once she's under throttle, no difference between it and the port engine.
When she idles, she has a slight miss. I think I am going to change the spark plugs, who knows when that was last done.
I have a spare cap and rotor at home. Ordering a fuel filter too. Anything else I should be doing before next weekend?
Just had my throttle cables replaced, could this just be a screwed up install?

sounds like a good start. if it was the throttle cables it would be idling slower than the other. it not starting could be the solenoid for the starer on that side.

She is cranking really well, so the starter is definitely doing its thing. But yes, it is idling a little lower than the other.

IAC, as you read on OSO.
- there are equivalent part #s at a fraction of the cost. First, I would take yours off and clean the pintle real well and make sure there insn't any gunk built up around the shaft. Clean the orifice on the intake real well too. I replaced mine last year from Autozone for a whopping $26. I'll try to dig up the part #. Post a pic of yours if you can, the pintle has to match exactly

I'm travelling this week so unfortunately I won't be able to make it to the marina to pull it off. I'd like to buy the part and take it out there.
I am looking at this thread you posted in:
http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/do-yourself-boating-budget/263191-6-2-iac-mot...
The one that is listed from AutoZone is 52. Not too expensive, but I'd definitely rather buy two for that!

Hey Evan, have you replaced the plugs and cap and rotor I Recall you saying that they hadn't been changed. Tune up might help. Also check you spark plug wires they can cause a miss if they are old and cracked.

Apparently the TV278 at $54 is all they have. Not as good of a deal as you got, but a hell of a lot better than the alternatives.

Been running great, no issues. Oil pressures are beginning to match up more often than not now too.
I had McNeil do my shifter cables and I was cruising in to the cove. I went to reverse and there was nothing there, no shift. I opened the hatch and it looks like they had barely pressed on the clips for the shifter cables. So when I reversed, they were pulling out and weren't pulling the shifter with them. Bah. At least that was an easy fix.

I am thinking a sticky somewhere for normal automotive parts that work with our various engines would be a cool idea
I know I have found a couple that work for my engine (belts, filters etc).
Glad you got her running again! 8 days and a wake up.
