I am a huge fan of the the older camaro. my dirt track cars were a 1974 and a 1978 camaro. plus that the piece of the head light gave it away. only the camaros and firebirds (for a while until the tried to make them look different) had a headlight profile like that. my dream camaro is 1970-1973 split bumper z28 with a big block.

Bring in your high speed needle it should only be one and a quarter turns out.
Bring it in a quarter turn then test, leave the low one alone. If that doesn't work you may need to go with a smaller jet.

I just had a thought. I believe we are talking about different carbs. I have a carter on the boat not a holley. I have a holley but I put the carter on because it was the orginal carb for the boat. so I believe with a carter the only external adjustment you can do is the idle mixture screws.

I thought thet carter had a low speed adjustment as well it's always hard if you don't have tha carb in front of you. Another thing too look at but is highly unlikely is the amount of fuel in the float. The bogging at high speed sound like a jet. I ran into the same problem building my motor. I also ran into that by using the wrong intake. I polished my intake ports so the air wouldn't roll in the intake causing a hesitation at high speeds.
Carbs are fun...
Using my iPad with a split keyboard so sorry for the grammar

My high school hot rod was a 74 Camero.
To this day I still have an occasional dream about driving that car.
