I'm going to put the 3blade back on and check the results. Thanks for all the info it's allways been something that's bugged me.

Was that prop labbed when you bought it? Or labbed for another boat?

Being an old salt I always laugh when I hear people and some companies talk about Lab finished props. Mercury offers Lab finish props. The term has lost its meaning. Kind of like calling all tissue Kleenex. Every prop guy now calls his work lab finish.
Who worked your prop?

Dennis Cavanaugh passed a number of years ago. He was the GRAND MASTER of propeller work. His work was coined Lab finished. Brett of BBlades worked with Dennis for 20 years or so. They probably fine tuned more props for race boats around the world then the average prop shop has seen props.
Anybody can cut off some cup or hammer in a new pitch to adjust rpm. Few can change its character in order to change the way it pushes the boat. Add cup here, cut the back side there, what rake angle to select, how long of a diffuser or not, ect ect. The most remarkable thing is their ability to replicate. When you have 8 pairs of props, at 1/2 pitch increments fine tuned exactly for your boat after hundreds of hours of testing and you break one you can expect to get an exact match back for the pair that was damaged.
Rant could go on for much longer but I will stop for now.

Good thing since you seem to be hungover from the 1/2 shell and double-posting....
