Kinda mind blowing seeing this picture of Devil's Cove after having my most recent memories looking quite...different.

Wow, it wasn't so bad seeing it weekend over weekend drop...it's pretty rough seeing it lately and then being reminded what it looks like.

It is almost hard to remember the lake that full. Hopefully the rains keeps coming and the levels rise.

Two rice seasons a year will do that to the lake...if it doesn't get any rain.

I was just comparing the pic in this thread with the pic in the "Old Pics of Devils Cove" thread with a friend. He is like "no way thats the same lake". So sad... I hope for everyone's sake, the rain is heavy all spring, or I think there will be more trips to the coast than normal for a lot of people.

As much as I want to try my boat out in the ocean, I really don't want to HAVE to.

I had my Pachanga out in the salt once up in Rhode Island. While the salt does suck, it is nice having no sort of limits what so ever. And there are some things you only see on the salt, like Ringo Star's 150 3 mast yacht, lol. It is a pain in the ass to clean afterwards though. I normally flush for 15 minutes AFTER the thermostat opens just to clear it all out

It honestly wasnt too bad. It was about 1-2 foot, fairly smooth out there, and she handled very well. I did have her out there on a day when the wind was a bit of a factor, and still, not bad on the handling.

I dunno how people do it every weekend, everything I hear sounds terrible for the amount of clean up work.

Yeah I am not sure how people do that either. The salt on the gelcoat is gross, the salt on the internals of the engine is like asbestos to a human. All in all, I would not suggest every weekend in the salt, but an excursion now and then would be fun I am sure.
