Sorry to hear that Captain. I figured it would have to be taken apart. The glue isn't pretty but it will help stop the dethreading (not sure if that's a real word or not?).

why not take it apart yourself and just take the vinyl to them to fix then reassemble it yourself?

Damn, that sounds like a lot. Good plan. Live with the small flaw until it's big and ugly. It will be worth the price of repair then.

Yeah it won't be the prettiest fix but the seam is small enough that if I fix it now, it should last a while and not look horrible.

If it costs that much in labor, I'm sure its out of my skill set. It's not super bad right now, it's only a few inches long right now.
