Gel Coat Repair

Is there anyone in the Lake Travis area that is good at gel repair. I have a few spots I would like to get fixed and I have the gel coat from the nordic factory to match it spot on. I was thinking I might leave it after Labor Day weekend to have the repairs done.
I also have a bunk on the trailer that will be needing attention soon. Maybe even leave it at Full Throttle for a Raylar kit, I can always dream right.

on the trailer bunks do it yourself. next time you take the boat off the trailer take measurements of the bunk and bolt location. then go to lowes get treated lumber, new bolts, nuts, washers, carpet glue, staples, and outdoor carpet. use your measurements to cut the boards, drill the holes, insert the bolts, and attach the capret. then when you take the boat off the trailer take tools and remove and replace the bunks in the parking lot. then have a great day and then when you load the boat you can have the feeling of yes I did it myself and it looks great. good luck !!

Thats a great idea on the trailer bunks. I would guess stainless fasteners and staples are the only way to go. On the treated lumber, is it the green tinted stuff? Thanks for your suggestions.
Another thought, has anyone tried the new Loctite that is in tape form like teflon tape? That should be easier to chinch down than nyloc nuts since the bolt head will be under the carpet. Would you use a stovebolt type head or the beveled countersunk type?

No not the carpet. I'm talking about the treated lumber being the green tinted stuff. I will definantly use black marine grade carpet for the bunks.

I'd avoid the marine backed carpet. The backing is rubber and will hold the water in and prematurely rot the wood. Academy has bunk fabric and it may be even cheaper than carpet. I have carpet on mine because I couldn't find bunk fabric to fit a 14' 4x12, but I left or open on the bottom of the bunks.

I love the swing set framework. Looks good and it's creative as hell.
