Makes sense. Any reason why they were able to tie up outside of the no wake zone?

No idea whatsoever.
Perhaps there has to be a complaint to constitute trespassing. At any rate, things are getting interesting around there.

AUSTIN (KXAN) - The Jonestown Police Department continued its patrols of Devil's Cove on Monday afternoon. Officers are enforcing a new sound ordinance that took effect this past weekend. It was intended to control overly loud boats that sometimes play vulgar music that can be heard by residents who live along the banks of Lake Travis.
“The idea is to tone the noise down to reasonable levels that don’t interfere with people who have homes along and inside the cove from enjoying their homes,” said Bill Nichols who is a city council member for Jonestown. He also lives in The Hollows, which is the community that surrounds Devil's Cove.
But not everyone who lives in the neighborhood is happy with the new ordinance. Many people KXAN News spoke to who live along the banks claim they moved into the area, knowing it was already a party-place.
“We are completely against it. We just really feel like, we moved out here for the fun. And if you don’t enjoy it, why live here?” Said Heather Murphy who lives with her family in a house next to Devil's Cove.
Even though many residents welcome the loud, party music, many agree that some of the vulgar language blaring from the speakers of many boats needs to be tamed down.
We spoke to the Jonestown Police Department. So far, they've issued a few citations for boats playing loud music, but they can't give us an exact number until after the holiday weekend ends
I quess that not everyone that lives in devils cove is for the sound ordinance. I do agree that maybe the ordinace should be for vulgar language not sound

Takes just a couple rotten apples to spoil the bunch. I'm sure there's only a handful of mouthy owners.
