Hey everyone,
My name is Evan and I started this board because I couldn't find anywhere for local area boaters to talk about our shared interest. We're just getting the ball rolling as we head in to the 2010 boating season. I'm excited for a great year of boating and meeting people.
I live in Round Rock and am in sales. I love boating, but I also love driving my Viper around town as well.

That is a 2002 Nordic 28 "Heat", mid-cabin open-bow.
Single engine 496 Mag HO, twin stepped hull. You don't see too many out here in this part of the country. More popular among the West Coast custom crowd. They're made in Lake Havasu City, AZ. I love my boat.

Mid cabin open bow...I've never seen that in person. But that's where you have an enclosed space in the middle and a few seats exposed up front? I would definitely say that's got to be a rarity on Travis, never seen anything like that.
I have seen some advertisements for layouts like that and I think that's what I want for my next boat. How do you like that layout compared to a cuddy or open bow only?

It's a perfect layout for me and my family. Quite a bit of room in the mid-cabin area (facing lounges, cooler). You can get out of the sun if you want, change clothes, etc. The open bow section is a nice size. Perfect for a couple of folks to sit facing forward while we cruise along, or pack 4 up there when have a large crowd on-board. It's the best of both worlds.

Hi In2Deep,
Love your Nordic. Great boat. There are a couple Nordics that hang out on Lake LBJ. Every once in a while they will race each other.
I'm sure you already have a shop, but if you needed anything, I would recommend Bob over at Full Throttle Marine in Spicewood, TX. He's also a Nordic dealer.

I might have to head to LBJ one weekend this Summer.
Yup, I stopped by FTM right after moving here. Heard of him on another forum. Bob's straight-up good folks, and top-notch. When I need a top wrench -- he's my guy. Fortunately, haven't had any serious issues. I almost made the leap to a Whipplecharger last season, and Bob gave me great advice. When the time comes for that, I"m headed his way.

I can't believe I just found this forum! I've been boating on Lake Travis since the 60's(gives away my age), and live on the lake in Spicewood. My passion and livelyhood are boating.
