I was looking at the Corp of Engineers site, it looks like Georgetown is at capacity! At least if Travis still isn't full enough I'll have a good backup.

That is fantastic. It was sad looking at the docks sitting on the side of the hill with all that tall grass growing around them.

I've never seen it full. So that's pretty cool. I imagine being able to use those docks makes launching a little more dry affair for my GF after parking the truck

Went camping out at Jim Hogg on Georgetown Nov 20-22 and the lake looked awesome!
Didn't take the boat....weather sucked, but we still saw several fishing boats out tearing it up.

Great camping weather! I bet that was fun. As far as the boats, I thought the ramp closed after end of Oct?

went to overlook park today during lunch since I was in the area and take any chance I can to go fish at georgetown. G-town is my fravorite lake hands down. good for fishing, swimming, and camping. Cedar breaks and jim hogg are open year round and I think they have talked about keeping russell opened too ( I will check into that next time I am there). the best part is that it only cost 4 dollars for day use and 30 for an annual pass. not as big as travis but if you are like me and my family that goes to fish and swim great for that. when I was out there today the lake is diffently over filled considering that the fishing platform at overlook is under water

That's pretty cool! I've never seen Georgetown completely full. All I've seen is it near the bottom of the ramp and looking up at the courtesy docks dangling against the canyon wall.

I gotta try out lake GTown by boat. I've never been on the water there.
We do love the parks and often go winter camping at Hogg or Cedar Breaks. Door to door pulling a travel trailer is only thirty minutes for us.

You definitely need to. It's a great lake. I am in the middle of Gtown and Travis. If I could store my boat at home, I'd have hard time picking between the two.
