Reply #3 - Nov 30^th, 2009 at 4:02pm Went camping out at Jim Hogg on Georgetown Nov 20-22 and the lake looked awesome! Didn't take the boat....weather sucked, but we still saw several fishing boats out tearing it up.

went to overlook park today during lunch since I was in the area and take any chance I can to go fish at georgetown. G-town is my fravorite lake hands down. good for fishing, swimming, and camping. Cedar breaks and jim hogg are open year round and I think they have talked about keeping russell opened too ( I will check into that next time I am there). the best part is that it only cost 4 dollars for day use and 30 for an annual pass. not as big as travis but if you are like me and my family that goes to fish and swim great for that. when I was out there today the lake is diffently over filled considering that the fishing platform at overlook is under water Grin

All I've seen is it near the bottom of the ramp and looking up at the courtesy docks dangling against the canyon wall.

I've never been on the water there. We do love the parks and often go winter camping at Hogg or Cedar Breaks. Door to door pulling a travel trailer is only thirty minutes for us.
