What's fun to do in San Antonio? (Read 3902 times)

Oct 2^nd, 2009 at 8:07am I've never been and I'm heading down with my GF this weekend. She's in the AF reserves and is having a "family day" on her duty weekend. So I'll have a little time to check out the city. Any suggestions?

Reply #2 - Oct 5^th, 2009 at 8:20am We did go check out the River Walk, it was an enjoyable time. Very cool atmosphere besides the nasty looking water! Went to a Mexican restaurant with food that Taco Bell would be having doubts about the quality over. But, it was still fun.

We drove by it on the way back to Lackland, so got a little bit of a peek. I wanted to get back to Austin to hang out with some people who were in town for ACL. So I had to skip that one. That probably should be the thing I do next time I head down to San Antonio.

horns98 Austin Boater Offline Hook 'em horns! Posts: 192	Re: What's fun to do in San Antonio? Reply #5 - Oct 7^th, 2009 at 5:25pm I felt a little underwhelmed when going to the Alamo for some reason. I had a much more grandiose version of it in my mind (I have no idea why). It's still very cool to go and get the history of it though.
