Who wants to go fast?

I am itching to get down to the coast again and haul some ass. Anyone interested in a convoy down to Clear Lake and burn some gasoline?
I propose:
Leave Austin September 5 around 5. Arrive fairly late. Drink a few beers.
Get up Saturday morning and we rip down the shipping channel to the Galveston Yacht basin. We get some lunch, perhaps one of the coastal regulars can offer a good destination. Bad Fish? G? We come back, raise some hell at the Turtle Club.
Sunday, we see what everyone is feeling. but definitely some fast boating.
Pull the boats out that afternoon, clean up and get some dinner. If you want to head out after, by all means. I think it's too rushed to clean and drive home, so I'll stay the night then cruise up in the morning on Monday.

That boat is too expensive of a toy to sit on a trailer. As much fun as you have cleaning it, imagine cleaning up after putting some serious miles on her!

Haha, yeah, I know. Have a couple things to fix first, but she should be running this week. Oh, and I retire tomorrow, so I will have time to play
I am even gonna fish off the stern hahahaha.

Congrats, Jay! Enjoy your day. No better way to celebrate your service than heading to to the bay for some first class fast boating.

I'm sure you know Jay, with your mechanical background that it's not good to let boat gas sit for too long. You need to let your wife know that this is important.
Side note: Note to self, don't get married.

Is there a list of participants?
I'll be recovering from the Holiday on Mon and Tues before this run. But I can crew with someone if they need an extra hand.
