there are three parks that have camping. Our favorite is Jim Hogg Park but cedar breaks and Russell are not bad. There is a swim beach in Russell park but unless the water is High enough you have to get to it by water. We usually just anchor off the shore to swim. It gets deep fast. The level today is 775.83 today.

don't overlook Waco lake either. It is a nice lake and a great place to camp.

There are 3 nice camp grounds and there's a swimming beach. Haven't been there in a few years so I don't know what shape the swimming beach is in. Don't remember any sandy beaches that would be good for beaching a nice boat.
Over by the dam there's a place to hangout and do some mini cliff diving.
