Short video of it starting up. Fantastic exhaust tone. Can't wait to hear one wide open.

I HATE THAT REAREND!!!!! Not letting this go... want to slap Chevy designers... Sounds good though. Maybe I can score a drivetrain out of one when some 75 year old man wrecks his.

I'm with you Jay. The corvettes have ALWAYS had round tail lights. The corvette is gone. The cormaro has replaced it.

I've publicly stated that I am not a purist when it comes to iconic American or foreign muscle or exotics. I'm all for forward-looking body styles, power plant tweaks, tunes or complete aftermarket re-fits (examples; Chevy V8 conversions in Nissan or Porsche).
So, this new Vette may not have the hallowed and traditional cues to Vettes of the past (which I do understand and acknowledge as being an important part of the enthusiast base) -- but hot dang....that's one awesome looking piece of Detroit steel. That thing would cut at least an hour off any Cannonball runs I make up to LOTO.
I bet the interior is still cheapo plastic minimalist, though; the single biggest reason I never chose to purchase a Vette.

I forgot to add that I also think the top level model of the new Camaro is super sweet as well. With a few minor aftermarket applications -- would be perfecto.

I just think the flagship sports car should not be modeled anywhere after your mid level model. The corvette has always had a distinct few details that have been on "most" generations, but they went away with them on this one. Looks like a GT-R and a Camaro had sex and out came the C7. Just my .02.
but really, imagine a full LS9 or similar drive train in my 240Z
Shaves years off your life for sure lol.

Everyone rages about those tail lights, but I'd love to see someone photoshop a pair of round tail lights and see how it would look.
Guessing it wouldn't fit...at all.
I'm a legit Corvette fan...owned one, raced one, loved 'em all. I get why people think what they do. But I just can't see round lights working with the modern design.
I was creeping in the window of one parked at the Torchy's near my house, the interior looks fantastic. I'd say it's nearly as good as a Nissan 370

I finally saw a C7 up close and personal. Great looking car and the tail lights seem to work. Definitely on the short list as a replacement for my C6.
But....I'm still a fan of the round lights and it appears that other are as well, evidenced by the kits already out there to dump the Camaro lights.

I like the third one. The first two...that's about how I thought it would look and that's not a great thing IMO.

I was following the C7 development fairly closely. I still find it hard to believe that after all the negative feedback they received abt the rear end from Corvette enthusiast, they still released it. Who do they think is going to be buying the bulk of the C7's??
BTW, my daily driver is a C5, so I'm a bit biased.

Apparently it is working, they raised prices once already to help slow demand down
They are selling as fast as they roll off the line. I guess the Corvette fans aren't too pissed off.
