I am taking it apart to see what all it needs and I will start rebuild it have the new year. so here is where I got after the first night. only worked on it for about an hour. side rails off and front fences.

It should last a while as I am doing the tear down now then but we are not going to start on putting it back together until after the first of the year.

I worked more on the decking today. all the screws are wasted. they are rusty and filled with glue. so I took out my saws all to cut the screw for the 2X4s at the edges. I then used my skill saw to cut the wood out between the cross members. next time I work on it I will be working the screws out from the bottom.

I decided that for the first couple of nights I would leave the engine hoist hooked on just incase the wood slits or something. better safe that sorry.

ok while my girls were playing at a friends house I figured I would use the nice weather to do some more work on the pontoon. so I removed the motor pod

I then removed all the cross members

it was a pain because very bolt head look like this but there was nothing on the top of the bolts so they were all rusted

but I did find something that will need welding. on the left pontoon the top seam is broken and someone tried to fix it with jb weld and it was on me.

Well I figured I would bring this back up so I know where it is. I took the time this weekend to make sure to drain the water out of the toons. next thing is to get my dad or someone to weld the break in the tube. The pontoons have been here waiting on my dad to weld the spot since he said I couldn't. but he just hasn't do it yet. but hopefully he will get to it before he heads back out of town. but I plan on getting back on it soon.
