There really aren't many crowds when people can't trailer in Smiley

I put in yesterday abt 1PM. I've never seen Travis so smooth. I saw maybe 6 boats in the water between Emerald Point marina and the dam. Also discovered a stump in the middle of Cypress creek cove. Just in front of the marina on the right as you enter from the main body. They have it marked pretty well.

Wasn't too busy today considering a Saturday/holiday weekend. We chanced Cypress Creek last week and it gets real low by the marina, then gets manageable, and then < 10ft to the zipline area. Sure was different having the anchor hit at 8ft and instantly caught!

well past weekend i went out, in the afternoon,  must have been 40 boats in the areas i was out making it impossible to find any smooth water.  the other thing thats been killing me is the big cruiser boats not getting on plane when they are cruising down the middle of the lake.  man they can push 2 foot wake when they go by.  one caught me as i was picking up a guy out of the water and had a bunch of water come over my bow,  and it disrupts the lake for ever.  but then i also b*tch about wakeboard boats like me that cruise around with there ballast bags full.  i empty mine when not in use, just like i turn off my tower speakers when not in use.  any way sorry about the rant.  ive been pretty ranty lately Smiley

If anyone is out and about today or tomorrow and makes it past Dink Pearson Park, let me know if folks are launching from there.

Went by Dink today. Saw a jet ski launching. Didn't see any large trailers in the parking area.

Great weekend on the water. Had one last blow-out at Carlos & Charlie's. Spent all Sat afternoon at DC tied-up with a good group.  Sunday however, DC got a bit out of hand, so a few of us anchored by Sometimes Island (actually a peninsula now).
We had 4 Fountains and a couple of Formulas.

Saw my first Nordic this evening up close leaving Emerald Point and heading up to Lakeway. What a beauty. Had 1050's in it and was turning 40Ps. She sounded absolutely nasty! Cheesy

I've hung out with a few of those guys before. Good group! Mike with the orange Fountain says he's doing mid-80s with his twin 6.2 Scorpions. Very cool boat.

I like it too. It's the "Hauling Ass Edition" Smiley
Don't see very many 29 Fountains with the 377's from the factory.

The 47 Fountain with triple 525's is a very nice rig also. He had the eng hatches open at his slip. Very clean.

In my prev post I said I saw a Nordic up close, I meant a Nor-Tech. I believe it was the 4300 super cat. Owner said he was planning on some mods for the 1050's. He wants to bump the top speed up from 156 to 168 mph Cheesy
Wish I could have taken a pic/vid.
Looked very similar to this boat:

Nice NorTech.  Before you cleared up the confusion..I was going to ask..."what Nordic with big power"?   I was finding it hard to believe I'd missed the presence of a big power Nordic screaming around LT.
