Pulled mine out to put it on my trailer and it was a real battle. We had an F-350 in 4 low and spent a good 15 mins trying to get out of the gravel and up the ramp without spraying rocks all over my hull. I wouldn't do it if it wasn't necessary.

Once the lake drops a little farther they're supposed to be pouring more ramp. To make it worth the concrete guys time, they will only pour sections abt 20' long. Not sure how much farther it has to drop before he gets out there, but it's gotta be getting close.

There is about 10 ft of gravel. Hope we don't get there!

It's dire out there.  Put mine back in yesterday using Dink Pearson.  Hour drive there, hour back, just to idle across the lake to my slip in Lakeway.  Oh well.  Aside from the transportation logistics, launching from shore there wasn't bad, and it seems that's about the only option happening right now.

I had no problem launching my 28.  For a sure bet, I had my Excursion in 4WD Low, but definitely didn't need it.  2WD with decent larger tires would have been just fine.
Disclaimer: I'm not sure of the launchability outlook as lake level continues to drop, so use your own best judgment.

I don't think launching with my 2wd will be a problem. Retrieving would be a whole different matter.
How far did you guys have to back in to get the trailer fenders under water? Did ya have to step out into water?

Wish I had one of those old 6wd military trucks. I could lauch/retrieve from just abt anywhere! Grin

I didn't have to back in too far at all.  The slope from the shoreline was enough to get the trialer dunked deep enough without getting too wet.
