Need help for Cobalt 276 cover
Jun 30th, 2013 at 9:50am

Im having to keep my Cobalt 276 at my house for now.  I want a cover that extends pretty far down the hull to protect the gelcoat from this harsh sun.  The regular cover just snaps on top, the mooring cover doesn't go far down at all.  I tried a tarp but it gets blown off or messed up in 2 days.  I dont want to have to pay to rent a covered spot in a storage park, but Im running out of options.  Thanks for any advice

For a full, down to the chines cover, you are going to have to go to a canvas shop and have one made.

I am relocating to an place where I have to keep my boat in uncovered storage, so I recently had a cover made by Karen, "the Cover Girl" at Canyon Lake.  The cover is completely custom with support poles, vents, reinforcements on stress points and uses the existing cockpit cover snaps to stabilize the cover and keep it from shifting in windy conditions.

Call Karen at 830-935-2953

Toucan Canvas and Bartletts Sail also do custom covers and are local.  You can Google them for the contact info.  I have used both and both are outstanding.
