That is pretty low for still being June.  July/Aug/Sept are going to be pretty demanding for the lake.

627.30      -53.70 :  wow, almost 54' low.

Canyon Lake is 9.24' low.  Still no serious rain in sight.  Cry

Just looked at the forecast and it says 106 for Saturday as of tonight. Looks like demands on the lake are about to get much worse too. Ugh.

Seriously sux.  I barely got my Nordic out of the water for my annual LOTO July 4th trip.  I'm not sure I'll be able to launch it and get back on Travis upon my return.  It might stay in Missouri. Sad

THis extended drought is driving serious legislative changes for how LCRA manages the lake.  No more business as usual.  Senators Fraser and Watson are championing these changes as are other organized lake interests.  This seems wrong to say, but at this point it may not hurt for the lake to get really, really bad.  For the good of the lake long term.

btw, 627.23 at of Wed morning.  at this rate the lake will be dropping a foot a week accelerating to two feet a week later in the Summer.

Also consider the lake is roughly V shaped. The lower it gets, the faster it will drop.

Kinda like a Fountain fuel tank..
