Sounds appealing, but since I'm taking the boat out of Texas soon, I'll be calling this marina my new home port.  Can anyone guess the place?

Smiley

You're gonna have to update me on this, last I heard you were keeping her in a storage unit! That looks way more fun there.

I'll fill you on the specifics and logistics soon.....  But bottom line is that I'm going to ship the Sunny.  I simply don't want to miss the opportunity to have a boat in such a great place.  Below are some of the pics of the local sandbar and weekend hangout, about 1 mile off the shore of Kaneohe Bay.

Greg, sounds like you found some better boating spots than previously imagined. That's awesome, I'm happy for you. Hopefully the Mrs. can join you too.

will do but now back to the topic.  good luck on the grand opening.  as travis turns into a river instead of a lake, marinas will be the only way to get on it.

^ It's that point that makes me wonder if that's the catalyst as to why marina rates have jumped > 10% this year alone across multiple marinas. Haven't seen a rate hike like that in the last three years and them <bam>!

I was paying $525 per month at Sandy Creek Yacht Club and they are on 3/4 full.  I can only imagine what this new place, with wooden docks instead of concrete, golf carts and main channel deep water will run.  Do all these new marina owners, and with mega dollars being spent to renew old marinas know something that I don't?  I thought the lake was going away?
