Short notice, but if anyone is looking for a holiday event on the water, there is a boat parade tonight on Canyon Lake. The Hill Country Yacht Club is putting it on. Starts at 6:30 out of Canyon Lake Marina. Here is a link to the registration form.

The one in 2010 was put together by Carlos and Charles. I quess they decided not to and I would bet that the reason is the lake level.

Lake Travis Marina had one. It was smaller with about 10-15 boats. I didn't know about it until I had to respond to a call in the area and saw it going on. It was Saturday the 1st. Travis just isn't the same without the fireworks and boat parade.
The Canyon Lake parade was small, but fun. There was about 17-20 boats involved, all decorated pretty well. Couldn't have asked for better weather too.
