I was going to have the floor done by someone but he decided that he didn't feel safe doing it correctly. So I am doing the floor on lil red myself. so here is what I have done this morning. I removed the seats and carpet.
also thank you to G for the tires. one on the trailer split so I cleaned up two rims and put two tire on. I will in time clean up and paint the other two I took off and put the others on.

A man with constant improvement, great stuff Nathan. How long do you expect that floor job to take?

If I had time and all the materials I could knock it out in a weekend. But I dont so I will have to see when I have the time and when I have the money to get everything hope it doesn't take to long but it should be interesting.

ok I got to do some more work on the floor before my wife went to work. here is what I have done and what I found.
and here is why the floor was so bad on the passenger side. water was trapped under the floor.

Good progress! How are the stringers? Everything still solid with those?

so far the main stringers are fine. the cross supports will need to be replaced because they were just sitting on top of the stringers with no fiberglass on them. I will have to remove most of the foam and then figure out if I am going to put it back. I will lose weight with out it but if it ever sinks and I have it insured they will not pay anything.

A few pounds of savings versus a possible payout, I would put the foam back in. Just my .02

that's what I am thinking. I may go back with Styrofoam blocks or even pool noddles as they will not hold water and do the same job. I may just to save some of whats there as most of it seems dry. plus that I am not going for speed this is for family cruiser. it is keeping me from having to buy a pontoon.

Since the floors are wood there is a better chance for rot with the ski locker. I have plenty of storage without it. This way it is a complete sheet of wood with out a hole. The rot and flex started there because there is no support around the hole needed for the locker. It will be stronger when I am done.

if not you know I will be out in the winter. I had it drying out today because it was not supposed to rain but mother nature had a different plan. it was a quick down pour but enough to make the foam wet. so now it looks like I may have to remove the foam if it does not dry out. then I will figure out what I want to replace it with. I do not want to use the expanding stuff because it can be a pain if you put just a little too much down. there is plenty of things out there from pool noddles to stryofoam blocks.
