little red's first fixes

one a new bow light

...

...

I also rebuilt the carb and she is running great now.  I may try to take her for a test run tomorrow.  but we determined that even if it runs great tomorrow I will probably go ahead and start on the floors now because it is soft in to many places to walk around and fill comfortable.  so get ready for the rebuild threads and pictures.  below is a link to more pictures I took.  the pictures are without the seat bottoms.  o and the 90s radio is classic but works great.

Wow that radio is especially classic Smiley You better be hitting craigslist to fix that situation after the basics are done.

At least the radio works good so it will work until I get everything else fixed.  I also need to do some measurements to see if a normal radio will even fit or if I will need to find a radio that is controlled by a remote.  we mainly listen to the radio while on the water so I do not need anything special, just working.

I also installed a second battery and a switch.  I love the fact I can easily disconnect the battery and have a back up if needed.  is covered by one of the sun pad sections.

...

...

I also made a new pole for the table as the old one was almost rusted out.  I made it out of PVC so it will not rot.

I took little red to the car wash today to try to clean the the cushions a little so I can work on the mildrew and not have the layer of dirt that is always on seat that have been sitting for a while.  I am going to pull the seats to get ready to do the floor.  below is pictures of it after the wash and what the lay out looks like with all the cushions including the bow filler cushions.

ok I have an update on the floor and interior.  you all know that I love doing my own work but I wasn't seeing the seats coming clean.  well after working a deal I am having a guy in belton redo the interior.  thats right he is putting a new floor in, plus carpet and recovering the seats.  The guy works out of his house and is a one man show that cares about what he does.  if my interior turns out anything like the boats he showed me that was there and the pictures I saw I will have a new guy to recommend for interior repair.  he is a younger guy making a name for himself.  he said it should take two weeks and then he has arouns four jobs lined up after mine.  the other thing that gave me a great feeling about the guy is he told me that when my boat was there I could come by anytime and see the progress on the boat and I don't even need to call ahead.  he also said it is my boat and he will not keep me from having acces to it just because it is there.

anyways here is samples of what he is using.  I wanted all white like this

...

he said he had a great idea for the boat if I would let him go with it, it would be great.  he is going with the white and a light brown scale look.

...

I believe the guy will do a good job but we will see in a couple of weeks.  I told him that if he needed more time that was fine I just wanted it to look nice.  the best thing is that I have never owned a boat with a new interior so this should be nice when it is done.  so next update maybe so update pictures.

also next time I am down and have the time I need to come by jay and say Hi!!

thats awsome,  i didn't know you hard it in you to have some one else do the work.  the problem i have is if i can do something my self no one ever does a better job then me.  i just wish i knew how to do more.  i can't wait to see the finished product, the samples look great.  i to want to redo the X-10 interior this winter so if he is good its his first referral.

I know my limits and vinyl is it.  I can clean it replace it if it is ready to install but I can not sew it.  plus that with getting my dad's f150 I did not need the suburban any more.  this way I get the boat fixed and like new and I dont have to hang on to the suburban until it sales.
