Intoducing myself.

Hey guys, stumbled on this forum a bit ago and finally getting time to say hi and introduce myself. my name is Ted and I have owned a 2001 30' Regal cruiser for about 2 years now. I'm active on the Regal Owners forum under the same name but am glad to have another place to post about local boating. Love all the go-fast boats that seem to hang around here, but with 3 kids the cruiser is more family friendly.
I started out at hurst harbor but was on the hard when the ramps dried up this past October. I switched to Lake LBJ which I'm enjoying also. I'm currently in a wet slip at LBJ yacht club.
I also have a trailer and a ram 2500 Diesel so I tow a bit. She's a big boat to tow, but I like the freedom (and cheaper gas). I do all my work myself. I just sort of figure it out along the way and being a used boat, it's given me plenty of opportunity.

Regal 2960
Twin Volvo 5.0 V8 PEFS -220HP each
Volvo SX-M outdrives
Westerbeke 4.5KW genny
Enough chit chat, here are some pics.

In the driveway this summer getting a new outdrive (seal failed and a bearing siezed). I have very nice neighbors who tolerate me working in my yard occasionally Roll Eyes

welcome to the family! very nice boat!! some are into performance, some into cruiser, like me some into classics. I just like you do everything myself on my boats. I have the engine out of my boat old timer (1972 century coroando) and I am working on my 74 glastron with an outboard trying to get it back on the water. good luck to you on your boat and hopefully we can lend a helping hand or a place to vent your frustation.
