Yeah these are the downsides of Lake Austin, as well as all the hydrilla choking your prop. If you want to save money on storage, Lake Austin definitely is not the spot.

We have had a lot of threads about people trying to locate slips, unfortunately I haven't heard how they have turned out. Maybe silence is a good thing.

You should really check out Highland, it is going to be a comparable drive and it is much cheaper. But there is something to be said for being comfortable where you are at!

I'm going to check it out.  like every one else i have to be as dollar wise as possible.  I'm actually in an argument on the Mastercraft forum over a comment that i think a dealer is asking 10k to much for a boat.  i haven't met to many boat owners that have to be as thrifty as possible with the funds.

I am one of those thrifty boat owners.  I try to fix everything I can.  I don’t like to spend money on the boat that could go to my kids.  But if it needs it I will replace or fix it.  To most boat means

Break
Out
Another
Thousand

to me it means

Brain
Operating
Analyzing
Thinking

The more money you save on the little things gives you more money for the fun big ticket items.
