How is traffic since Travis is down?

Lake Travis feels really light this year, is Lake Austin picking up the slack?

I went out both Saturday and Sunday and traffic was busier then last year, but not close to 2009.

Slight wait at the Loop 360 bridge ramp....nothing major.

Hula Hut and Ski Shores were packed, no slips available.

Bull Creek had a couple of tie ups but most of the crowd was down at Dino Cove (across the lake from Hula Hut).  Saturday they must of had about a 30-40 tie up in two rows, mostly wake board boats but there was a bad ass twin screw 34' eliminator.

Water is perfect, very refreshing, not hot and not cold(which is usually the norm).

I suspect with Booty Cove/ Devils Hallow on lake Travis getting the new sanctions, lake Austin will pick up some more traffic.

I didn't go out last weekend (kids all day swim meet) so I can't confirm that, just a hunch.

That's gotta be true, my marina is always shocked when I want to go out because there's a little wind.

Was out at Abel's on Lake Austin for Wednesdays on the Water sponsored by S Austin Marine and Woods Fun Center.
All the slips by Abel's and Hula Hut were full till about 9 pm.

There were quite a bit of people on the lake.
As for the event it was It was cool. The idea is for people who enjoy the lake to hang out listen to music, have a beverage and mingle. They had a raffle to benefit a charity as well giving away speakers, a surf board, and some other good stuff.

Ya it was.
It is gonna be a monthly event through the summer.
I think they advertise the event on S Austin Marine or Woods Fun Center Facebook pages.

I will let everyone know when next months is scheduled
