Welcome to Canyon Lake
May 31st, 2010 at 9:19pm

Lakenut suggested I add Canyon Lake to the Austin Boat Forums list of lake boards and I agreed that it was a good idea. After looking at the map, it definitely belongs as much as Lake LBJ does!

That being said, I hope we gain some friends from down south. If anyone puts together any events I'd be happy to make the trip down.

Thanks Captain YARRR. I was out there all weekend and the party cove was pretty lively. Now that water levels are up we are seeing more traffice out there. Like an idiot I left my camera home both days. It is pretty family oriented but every once in a while somebody livens up the party. I am going to see if I can dig up a pick of my buddy and I on the boat. Would love to have some of you come down to CL.

We'd love to see some pictures. How was the water level during the drought? Still able to get on it?

The water level is way up this year. All the boat ramps are open so far. My other computer crashed and like an idiot i did not have everthing backed up. I have to dig up some old pics for Canyon Lake. Ill try and get some posted here in the next couple of days. Maybe we can get a crew together at canyon lake sometime.

Love Canyon Lake.   Gotta be one of the clearest lakes in Texas.   Easy to see the bottom in a lot of areas.

We did some RV camping at Potter's Creek and enjoyed that area of the lake.

Wow that's gotta be pretty cool. Why so clear? Zebra mussels?
