We did our first splash of the season last Saturday on Lake Austin. Yippee!
On the way out, I topped her off with some "plus" fuel and a bottle of STP to help the treated fuel that had been sitting in her since last fall.
No line at the Loop 360 ramp.
She had a very small bit of hesitation when getting on plan which got better the more she ran.
We went up to City Park to check out the camping sites (I have a camping trip scheduled there next month) and the place was at capacity.
Did a flyby of Ski Shores and they were busy which is a good sign. I didn't notice anything different, but my kids did notice the new playground they put in.
My son tubed on the way back to Bull Creek. He wore a shorty but the water wasn't too terribly cold.
Parked in Bull Creek and had lunch. Decent size crowd...maybe 20 boats.
Ran down to Dino Cove (across from Hula Hut) and there were a lot more boats down there. The lake coppers (2 boats) hung out there the entire time....no doubt checking out the eye candy.
We didn't see them anywhere else on the lake.
On the way back to the bridge is when she really started running good....no hesitation. I just hope she stays that way.
No probs at the ramp when leaving. It was a very successful first splash!
Spent Sunday washing, waxing and polishing. She's looking good for a 15 year old.
