Are we in the clear now?
Sep 12th, 2009 at 7:19pm

After listening to the radio, I heard that north of Georgetown there was 18" plus of rain. That has got to do a lot of damage filling up Lake Georgetown. Anyone know how it affected lake levels?

I can't find any web sites that look solid for lake levels there. Do I need to call?

For Georgetown, COE is reporting almost 10" of rain this last weekend (Fri-Sun) and the lake is up 2' to 769.54 from September 1, 2009.

Nice start!

What site are you looking at for this?

Yes, that might even be enough to open a ramp.

About half way down the page in historical report section....I used the elevation as data type.

Apparently Lake Georgetown is open for 16' and under boats. Still got a ways for a big manly boat Wink

Now it's open at one launch ramp for all boats.

It's still low, but it's improving been out once since it reopened. A lotta bit colder than before the ramp closings! Still good fishing in Georgetown back by the stumps.
