Westlake Marina does sell gas, beer and ice (premium priced).

Sea Tow does service Lake Austin.

20 MPH recommeded night time speed limit.

Narrow river type lake - keep on the right hand side (like driving down the road "keep right").

Food - Hula Hut, Mozarts (coffee & muffins), Ski Shores, County Line.

Smooth water areas - above Emma Long City Park and gets better the further up you go.   Made the Top 10 water skiing spots (waterskimag.com)

Good tie up / swimming holes - Bull Creek ( just down from the loop 360 bridge on the other side of the ramp).  Dino Cove (across from Hula Hut down my the Tom Miller dam). No Wake Zones.

Picnic / Volleyball - Emma Long City park is a good place to beach you boat and picnic or join in a game of volleyball.   No park enterance fee is required if entering by boat.

Hydrilla - not too bad this year.   Up river there a couple of patches.   Try to avoid but if you do get your prop caught in some, try to reverse it off.  If that doesn't work, you might have to remove by hand.   Just be careful trying to swim in it.
