That is a nice gesture, to help a novice at the ramp will actually reduce the pressure on the first timer and reduce the rage of the seasoned boaters.

I always try to help backing or assisting at the dock when I can, after all, I was once a newbie myself.

Typically on Belton, most folks will wave me in ahead of them for some reason. I smile, nod, and trailer the old girl in usually about 30 seconds. I have helped quite a few people, despite my earlier comments
