In the past while we were waiting around for calls, I would have my captains go to the boat ramps, either by boat or by car, and offer help to boaters splashing their boats or loading them on the trailer. Just as a courtesy, and good advertising.
That is a nice gesture, to help a novice at the ramp will actually reduce the pressure on the first timer and reduce the rage of the seasoned boaters.
I always try to help backing or assisting at the dock when I can, after all, I was once a newbie myself.

So wait, its not polite for me to sit out in my HO and laugh as people jack knife their trailers and such? Typically on Belton, most folks will wave me in ahead of them for some reason. I smile, nod, and trailer the old girl in usually about 30 seconds. I have helped quite a few people, despite my earlier comments
