Georgetown is becoming my new weekend lake
Aug 5th, 2009 at 6:07pm

Since Travis has dropped below launching level, I've been going to Georgetown and have been enjoying it. It's not super big, but it's big enough to do some water sports and hang out with the anchor set.

Anyone else?

I like Lake Georgetown. Nice, wide boat ramps that are great for me to practice my backing the trailer up.  It wasn't very crowded either. Had a great time!!!!

This last weekend was pretty packed. Not so much that it was a pain in the ass, but enough that you really needed to pay attention for other boats.

I've never been boating on Georgetown.   How the water level?    I've camped on both sides at Hogg and Cedar Ridge.

It looks like some good camping. I went with a friend on his boat and saw people jumping off the cliffs in to the water near the camp sites. Looks fun.
