Title: So what's everyone doing in the off-season?
Post by Captain YARRR on Oct 10th, 2013 at 9:23am
Anyone have anything excited planned for your boats in the colder months? Unless of course you're boating all winter! :)

I am doing my engine rebuilds, painting my outdrives, new trailer tires and hopefully EoH brakes. The plan is to be ready for the Texas Outlaw Challenge and hopefully a trip to LOTO for the shootout.

My work will be in the spring before first run:

1.  Rebuild Holley carb. on HP500.*
2.  New impeller on sea pump.*
3.  Possible tune-up. (already changed plugs this past July).
4.  New bunk carpet on the 2 x 12"s.  (not in a hurry on this).

Other than that, everything still running / flying strong.   ;D

*In the fine print:
Will be requiring assistance from a gentlemen known to us as Jay. 8-)

1.  Comprehensive annual service performed by an expert.
2.  Book an all-inclusive luxury Cruise for Deja Blue on this:

Find someone to take my boat off the trailer to store for a few weeks so I can tweek the trailer.
- freshen the bunks
- redesign the rear of the trailer so it does not hang so low
- repaint
- strip, and powdercoat the wheels
- couple new tires
- couple new bearings

Redo the sundeck upholstery, hoping to be able to fix the one seam that is jacked up instead

And of course the typical tune-up, fluid changes, etc. Oh and fix a couple little nicks on the strakes thanks to lake belton

Well im closing on the new house today, one of the reasons i havent been on much.

But i still have all the ballast tanks i bought last year to put in.
Interoir is half done,  all the seats, now ill take it to the shop for the rest.

new stereo remote. line x ballast bays (this is hopeful not sure though)

5 star is going to touch up new gel coat, and replace all my pumps for me(unless new house straps me to much then ill do myself time permitting)

new amps for stereo

all to detailed detail

rv has some stuff

fix a/c it swwitches to defrost

fix cruise control wont turn on

put in new back up camera

then the house even though its brand new has allot of work

build deck, build garage shelving, blinds, home theater wiring.

man i know there is more but thats all i can think of right now.

Congrats on the new house Livesound.  That's exciting.  I'm trying to sell mine -- so I can get into a smaller one.

Are there that many stumps or what were you hitting? I always thought Belton was a pretty "safe" lake. Never had problems with my Monterey.
