If those are the 365hp engs, that's a good deal. Colorado isn't that far :)

Not a bad price, but with the comfort of already having fuel injection, I dont think the gains would be worth the effort or cost over simply spending that money on upgrading the 6.2s. Here is an idea for ya ;)

Big block power, small block weight. I think even G might be looking at your stern for a change.

I appreciate ya looking! Yes the 454s aren't really worth it. One size up and we are talking :)

Man I would do some crazy stuff for a single 1650 ;)

But really, if you are serious about possibly upgrading, keep your eyes open for some 502MPIs. A lot of people seem to kick them to the wayside on OSO, but would work awesome for you. :) Offer still stands if you want me to do some work on the engines for ya.

I can only imagine the kind of situation you need to be living to even entertain the idea of 1350s. Judging from the MTI delivery from the Texas outlaw challenge... you need to play pro football!

There's a pair of low-time 2009 496's in the OSO classifieds. However they are not the HO's.

I have a feeling if I bought those I'd just be wishing I got HOs all the time

This just in:

Seems quite a few need some motors.

After some research I think I'm either going to rebuild or got some upgrade ideas for what I have.

Sounds like a solid plan. However it was fun putting equipment on someone else s wish list!!  lol

Hmm.  Seems to me the motors you have now do a great job -- but if new/upgraded motor work is in your future...you better not skimp.

Your boat will thank you, and I'll have another reason to look forward to the sweet sound of thumping big blocks to look forward to as you go blazing by my house in all your bada$$-self glory.

Evan...if you do a motor upgrade and go with anything less than 525's, I might have to dole out a firm public reprimand.

You know what to do.

I do have to say there were a pair of 525s for sale on OSO a few weeks ago for 20k...if only I knew what I know now!

Have ya opened-up the eng yet?
I'm betting you broke a ring land.

That's what happened to mine (before I bought it).
If your valves and cyl walls are OK, you might get it back on the water relatively cheap.

I'm out of the loop...what's the issue with the Sunny motor(s)?

Last weekend I was running with a few other boats and got a solid alarm, slowed it down and saw smoke coming from the engine bay. Looked like the engine spit some oil out of the dipstick.

I did a compression test and one cylinder is down to 30.

Surprises me that it is down on compression when it idles smoothly and revs smoothly as well. No smoke either. I used both engines to put it on the trailer in the wind yesterday, worked really well.

It's a bummer, it's a low hour engine, not ragged out and I've maintained it as well as you could.

She's with Bob at Full Throttle. We'll see how it turns out! I think she's in good hands. He was real good about talking through options and figuring out a plan for how to proceed.

She'll definitely be in good hands at Full Throttle Marine. I know a lot of people that use them and have nothing but good things to say. Did they give ya an estimate on the turn-around time? From what I hear, they are really busy right now.

Looking like three weeks but I'm not holding my breath. So I'll be mooching boat rides in the mean time!

Available: One great boat hand! :)
