Title: Lake Waco 12-1-12
Post by nathan on Dec 2nd, 2012 at 7:28pm
My daughters and I took the pontoon to the lake on saturday.  it is diffently not going to set any speed records.  but My daughters loved every minute of it.  I do think I need to clean the carb (thats right card as in one)  when I went to put the boat back on the trailer it would not start.  Today I unpluged the fuel line and after turning it over numour times it finally started back up.  so it must have been extremely flooded.

on the lake it is now four feet low and Waco shows it level change very quickly.  I used twin bridges ramp because the other four lane ramp was closed for a TXPW hunting training.  I beached the pontoon on the shore line as the dock was almost out of the water and not anymore useable than the shore.  it reminds me of back when travis was 20 feet low but it is only 4 feet.    :-/

Awesome! How does it feel to be a boater? Now resist tearing her apart :)

I'm not for sure it would classify as boating more like floating!  ;D  other than rebuilding the carb I am not going to do to much.  we have decided that instead of me building seats for the boat we will use the cloth folding chairs like the ones you can get at academy for 5.99.  we decided this for now because with these chairs we can rearrange them as we see fit instead of them being fixed.  also since I plan to use the pontoon for fishing we can take them down and have a completely open front deck for fishing.

Nathan,

Won't you need fixed seating for safety concerns?

I don't think you can use those folding camping chairs while underway.

I would hate for you to get a ticket ($$).

I am not for sure.  I am looking into it for sure. I may still build something in the end. this is just the plan for now.
