Title: quick before and after
Post by nathan on May 20th, 2012 at 4:51pm
ok so after do the yard cleaning up and doing a little work on oldtimer I was washing her down to get the grass off and decided to pull out some of my great cleaning products and try the surf off wash and wax.  I did not use a bucket or nothing just some on a damp rag.

here is the before (crappy phone pictures)

and the after with the line I washed on

next time I am in austin I need to get my buffer and use the hang ten cleaner wax and really make her shine.  I have been working on the mechanical since I picked her up and have not taken the time to cleaner her good.

so john is the best method hang ten, then surf off, then Big Kahuna.  or surf off, then hang ten, then Big Kahuna?

Hey Nathan
I recommend washing Old Timer with Surf Off Wash & Wax, remove oxidation etc with Hang Ten Cleaner Wax finally protect the finish with Big Kahuna Polymer Sealant.

Cool pics thanks

I haven't tried the sealant yet, been loving the wax though. Already ran out of my first bottle.

How long should it last? I waxed the 32' twice and the Monterey 21' once.

Hello Captain...

Hang Ten Cleaner Wax will last on average about 3 months.

Big Kahuna Polymer Sealant will last up to 6 months.

Honestly it depends on how the boat is being cared for between waxes... wiping the surface down with vinegar and water will shorten the lifespan of the wax as the acid from the vinegar will degrade the wax.

As Memorial Day approaches if y'all need more product CTWS off of I-35 in Round Rock has a good inventory... see Colt and tell him I sent you.

John...
