Title: 2012 Products
Post by Hula Boat Care on Oct 11th, 2011 at 8:52pm
So I am working on a new product for 2012 and thought I would ask you as passionate boaters what type of product would you like to see?

what dont you have?  What about something for just the engine and outdrive.  or a marine grade windsheild cleaner that works like rainx only better.

The biggest thing I need is something to easily get all the junk off my out drive. Your hull cleaner helped, but it just didn't get it done. I may need to adjust my technique, but what I was doing with the rest of the boat worked great. But didn't do a thing for the drive.

Great ideas. I appreciate the thoughts. I will work on it with my chemist to see if I can pull off something that works and is environmentally friendly.

Sorry haven't posted in a while. Got a new venture that has me swamped and traveling.

Hey Evan I helped out the automotive car care products company launch their brand at SEMA. What an awesome show if you are a car guy. This is the 7th year I have attended it during my career.

What was great is there are alot of big companies overseas looking for Made in the US products and I was happy to help in exporting US goods overseas.

I was also surprised to see how many car care companies from Canada and Europe are trying to break into the US market. Hey something in the US must be still of value if people want our products and want to sell to us.

Go USA

New product teaser.

I am testing a hard water spot remover that is Eco friendly and will not strip wax. As a matter of fact I have put polymers in it to leave a coating after the day's water spots have been removed.

Will keep y'all posted as I am trying to get this product out before summer.

as jeff foxworthy said when a person said they wanted to tell him the story of how a beaver bit off his brother inlaw's nipple.

"you have my attention"

I am sure that's something people would use quite a bit of too with the heavy mineral content of our lakes.

4th round of trial are underway on the water spot remover.

I have the spot remover part down now just trying to balance out the polymer coating side.

Almost there and hope to have a few "trial" samples available for field testing.

Maybe 5-6 volunteers would be needed.
Anyone interested?

Great timing.
I have a couple more refinements that are waiting to be tested.
I have the cleaning aspect down and now I am trying to dial in the polymer protection side to make it user friendly under several conditions.

Almost there but with my name on it I want it to be as perfect as I can make it.

Definitely interested. The wife took the boat out a couple of times while I was out of town, and didn't do a wipe down... I have a project ahead of me! Good thing it's a small boat, but the blue gelcoat just looks crappy right now.

Okay Gentlemen
I have finally tweaked my water spot remover formula and have samples to pass out for trial.

I am looking for 10 volunteers who will each get a 16 oz bottle.
I only ask that you use it and email me feedback on how you liked it's performance, ease of use and of course scent. This water spot remover can be used on fiberglass, paint, glass, rub rail, aluminum etc.

Anyone interested can email me at info@hulaboatcare.com
with name, address etc and I will get the bottles shipped out next week.

Thanks
John...

With my temporarily busted lift my boat got to enjoy a night in the water followed by some new waterspots. Sprayed down below the water line with this, back to looking good as new. Even got some of my exhaust soot off.

Thanks for the feedback. I hope to have this ready for sale by the Austin Boat Show. So far I have great results in our water and I am waiting on reports from out of state.

I appreciate the testing.

Ok so technically they will be 2013 products.

Gnarly Water Spot Remover has been field tested across the US and has come back with great results. Removes water spots and leaves a slick polymer coating. Will be available in 16 oz and gallons starting at the Austin Boat Show.

Also launched Riptide Liquid Compound a fast cutting compound to remove oxidation, scratches and scuffs. This will be also available in 16 oz and gallons.

It took longer than expected but I am honestly pleased with the results.

yeah she is real dirty though.  and needs a waxing.  had a rough summer.  the problem is that when i go to work on her, oh take her out for a quick winter run it bums me out,  i know that during summer when all 3 of us are using the boat every week its hard to keep up the sparkle.  but i like to look at her all cleaned up.
