Title: Hula's vinyl spray
Post by Captain YARRR on Mar 14th, 2011 at 6:33pm
Met up with John from Hula Boat Care this weekend and picked up some of his vinyl cleaner. Very nice guy and obviously very passionate about his products.

We went right out to the Cove after we met up, I wasted no time trying it on my vinyl. Did a real nice job, not slick or super shiny. Just looks good. Even got out a few stubborn spots that weren't cleaning up well with my other stuff.

Thanks for the write up.
I am glad the product worked for you.
Interestingly enough I am sending some of the same product to Spralding Vinyl to get them to test it and "fingers crossed" get on their approved product list. I will keep everyone posted.

Yeah I'm pretty happy with Hula's product. It's a little slick until it dries, but that's understandable and no problem.

Gentlemen,
The "wet" or slick feel is a result of the conditioners left on the surface. The conditioner gets absorbed by the vinyl giving it a moist and supple feel.

One parameter I had when designing this product was that a treated surface should not have an oily look and should not stain light colored clothing like shorts etc if someone was sitting on a seat.

I will have before and after photos posted tomorrow when I login from my tower.

Got some pictures of before and after while plaing with Mike from SEA TOW today.

In the after picture the flash went off givign the surface a shiny look but to the eye it did not look that shiny.

Glad you are liking it. Got samples of this product at Spradling Vinyl, large supplier to the marine industry, and they are testing it so I can hopefully get on their recommended care product list. Should take a few months but it is a great ego booster as they do not normally entertain new brands in the market :)

If you have some photos you would like to share please post them or PM me and I can use them on my Facebook page etc.

How is Wipe Out Vinyl Cleaner & Conditioner working for you?
Still liking it?

I have submitted this product to Spradling Marine Vinyl for trials in order to be added to their Recommended products list.  Fingers crossed as there are more non recommended products mentioned than recommended.

Reports whould be out in a couple of months.
