Thats a good write up.  just hope it actually helps the lake.

I wonder how the lakes would look without that second crop?

Let's hope between this and more rain we can actually have some lake water to enjoy this summer.

They are already neutering this plan.  See my other post sent this morning.  This plan needs to pass "as is" and not a "back-room" version that several LCRA staffers and the rice farmers put together January 31.

Board members voted down the amendment proposed by Arbuckle that would have eased impacts on rice farmers. Board member Franklin Scott Spears Jr. called the “11th hour” amendment “unfair,” and was one of nine board members to vote it down.

Well I guess it is positive that it is some kind of plan compared to what we had.

I will believe that it is working when I can launch from jonestown's first ramp all summer.
